1. About Rivro

Rivro ("we", "us", "our") is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects car owners ("Owners") with people seeking prestige vehicle hire ("Renters") for special events. We are not a car hire company. We provide a platform only.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create an account (name, email, phone), list a car (vehicle details, photos, pricing), or make a booking (event details, payment information). We also collect usage data, device information, and cookies to operate and improve the platform.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to operate the Rivro platform, process payments via Stripe, facilitate communication between Owners and Renters, send booking confirmations and notifications, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Payments and financial data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. Rivro does not store credit card numbers or full payment card data. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. Funds are held in escrow and released to Owners 48 hours after the event date, minus Rivro's platform fee.

5. Data sharing

We share your information with Owners or Renters only as necessary to facilitate a booking. We share data with Stripe for payment processing and Supabase for database storage. We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Booking records are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at privacy@rivro.com.au.

8. Your rights

Under Australian Privacy Law, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Contact us at privacy@rivro.com.au

1. Platform role — important

Rivro is a marketplace platform only. We connect Owners and Renters but are not a party to any rental agreement between them. Rivro is not responsible for the condition, roadworthiness, insurance status, or availability of any vehicle listed on the platform.

2. Owner responsibilities

Owners are solely responsible for ensuring their vehicle is registered, roadworthy, and appropriately insured (including for hire and reward where required). Owners are responsible for their own tax obligations on income earned through Rivro.

3. Renter responsibilities

Renters must hold a valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle if booking self-drive. Renters are responsible for any damage caused during their booking and must comply with any conditions specified by the Owner.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Rivro excludes all liability for any loss, damage, injury, or expense arising from or connected with any booking made through the platform, including but not limited to vehicle damage, accidents, personal injury, or loss of property. Our liability is limited to the platform fee paid to us for the relevant booking.

5. Payments and fees

Rivro charges a platform fee (currently 10%) on each completed booking, deducted before funds are released to the Owner. Funds are held in escrow until 48 hours after the event date.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations 7+ days before the event: full refund. 3–6 days before: 50% refund. Within 72 hours: no refund. Owner-initiated cancellations always result in a full refund to the Renter.

7. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
